One of the rewarding parts of the design process was establishing a look and feel for the product, IBM analytics has a great style guide and we seized the opportunity to push it to its limits and expand the library by including card design templates, graph visualization styles and even adding a color or two to the palate (sshh, don't tell) 

We ended up with a very material - esque system that accentuated the card streaming layout. It's worth noting that establishing a type scale and some initial element layout in the wire framing process saves quite a bit of trouble when moving into pixel perfect compositions. Sketch made this really easy.
